On October 17, 2008 in Morgantown, WV., the USPS issued this commemorative stamp. Art Director and Designer Ethel Kessler of Bethesda, Maryland, worked with illustrator Matt Mahurin to draw attention to the importance of the caregiver for those who have Alzheimers disease. For the person with Alzheimers, Kessler says, “that interaction with the caregiver means everything.” Three words CARE, SUPPORT, RESARCH appear in the selvage in the upper right corner of the stamp sheet.
