Puff daddy is known to the world as P.Diddy has made a huge impact on the entertainment world. Puff Daddy was P. Diddy’s first stage name that was uses when he first hit the scene with the famous notorious B.I.G., back in the early 1990′s. Many people often times forget about his triumphant run with the master of rap, and honestly he did not start getting the recognition that he deserved until after Biggy’s death. He made a huge leap onto the scene when he released a remake of “Every breath I take”, with Faith Evans as a tribute to the famous rappers death.
But, what does the world truly know about Puff daddy? Well, besides the fact that he is one of the richest men of all times, basically nothing. Puff Daddy’s birth name is Sean Combs; he was born in the projects, and was raised in Mount Vernon, New York as a child. In 1986, he graduated from the Roman Catholic Mount Saint Michael Academy. Combs went on to pursue a higher education and ended up at Howard University in Washington DC. It was while in college that his life began to take a drastic turn towards the music industry.
Puff Daddy became an intern at New York’s Uptown Records. It was often times extremely difficult for the up and coming star to have to juggle his studies along with his passion for music, yet coincidentally enough he was able to accomplish both feats simultaneously. Combs, developed instrumental music for the likes of Mary J, Blige and Jodeci, which he was still in college. If this did not show a man on the rise nothing else did. In 1991, Puff Daddy actually headlined a Heavy D. concert, which was held at the City College of New York. People were so intrigued and excited about the event that the room was soon filled to capacity with hundreds of people having to stand outdoors.
In 1993, was when Puff Daddy began his ultimate journey. After being fired from Uptown Records, he decided to go into business for himself and opened Bad Boy Records. Puff Daddy quickly signed Notorious B.I.G., 112, Usher, Mariah Carey and the likes of many great artists which you can still hear today. Bad Boy Records began to grow at an immense speed. Puff Daddy, whom is referred to as P.Diddy today, was the mastermind behind the whole scheme. He was producing a plethora of number one hits, but still at this time people did not even know of his existence.
The humorous thing about Puffy Daddy also referred to as P. Diddy is people believe that he hit the music scene like wildfire and began to branch out shortly after the murder of Notorious B.I.G. But the fact of the matter is he made the rapper who he was. Many people often times would see Puff Daddy in music videos and had no inclination that he was the one who was making everything possible for the stars that he created. People finally began to put their eyes on the great rapper when he came out with some raps of his own. Well, now you know the true story behind Puff Daddy’s success.
