This postcard features a man eating a hot dog at a baseball game and says “MEET THE DYSPEPTIC PATIENT.” The text printed on the back of the card says: “The dyspeptic patient on CONVERTINTM can indulge in ‘forbidden’ foods like hot dogs – just for the pleasure of it. His bloating, gas, flatulence, heartburn and excessive belching are relieved! Ask for it by name from your physician or dietary consultant. by prescription only.” Although there’s no date on this card, it’s an actual reproduction of a vintage postcard selected from “tens of thousands of cards” submitted to the Klutz Press Tacky Postcard Contest and published in their 2nd volume, 1989, book: Revenge of the Son of the World’s Tackiest Postcards (out-of-print).
